SK2Go for easy license management

More cost efficiency and flexibility in production with the licensed USB dongle

The SK2GO USB dongle from Optimum datamanagement solutions GmbH now enables flexible license management of the “SK Recipe Designer” software module in the worker assistance system Smart Klaus.

This means that the license for the part teach-in software function (SK Recipe Designer) can now be used multiple times and on the fly. Users with several systems in their production no longer have to purchase an additional license for each additional workstation. This leads to considerable cost savings and increased flexibility.

With the flexible USB dongle, the recipes ( test programs) can be adapted both on the line at different workstations and at an offline location.

This is how it works: Images of the individual assembly steps are recorded at the SK systems in the IO state. These are transferred to a terminal device via the company's own server, for example. If the USB dongle is plugged into this end device, the processor can create and modify a recipe using the images taken. The finished recipes can then be transferred via the server to one or more SK worker assistance systems and started directly from there.

The main arguments in favor of using a USB dongle for an assistance system are:

  • Full SK Recipe Designer license on a portable USB stick
  • Unlimited use in the line
  • Simple license handling
  • Enormous cost savings

The modular worker assistance system becomes a tailor-made solution as the various software functions can be purchased separately. This allows users to select the functions best suited to their specific production needs.

The USB dongle for the Worker Assistance System is another way of making even better use of the modular structure of Smart Klaus and offering its users maximum flexibility in the use of different software functions.

Our SK dongle for flexible license management is a real game changer for customers with multiple systems. With this option, we offer alternative scaling options - even in volatile times. We want to offer our customers maximum flexibility and efficiency in their production processes.
