Selection of our Prizes and Awards
for the Smart Klaus
The Industry 4.0 Alliance is a network initiated and promoted by the state of Baden-Württemberg. It bundles the expertise from production and information and communication technology and accompanies industrial SMEs in the direction of Industry 4.0.
In 2017, Optimum GmbH was honored for the development and implementation of an exemplary Industry 4.0 solution for its assistance system Der Schlaue Klaus ("Smart Klaus") as part of the 100 Orte Industrie 4.0 award. The special and progressive aspect of this is the mission behind the system: "Know what is". Along the entire value chain, the process is defined in IT. From goods receipt, through assembly, final inspection, to picking and goods issue, the processes are created together with IT.
At the 27th German Assembly Congress, the intelligent assistance system Smart Klaus was awarded as one of the best assembly ideas 2016.
Here, Optimum GmbH took 2nd place and was again able to win an award for the guidance system.
The IDEAward was presented on September 13, 2017 in Cologne during the Confare Conference Be CIO. OPTIMUM datamanagement solutions GmbH was awarded as Digital Explorer.
A jury of 5 experts selected the IDEAward winners 2017. The IDEAward underlines the importance of the topic of digitalisation - digitalisation has long since become not only an IT topic, but a corporate topic that has a fundamental impact on culture, mindset, organisation, processes, know-how and technology. For companies, digitization is a critical success factor for a successful future.
Those personalities who have implemented digitization creatively, comprehensively and particularly successfully were honored.
In 2015, Optimum GmbH, Bedrunka Gerätebau GmbH and the IFL Institute for Conveying Technology and Logistics Systems were awarded the handling award 2015 by KIT Karlsruhe for their joint project "Workstation 4.0".
The award was presented at MOTEK 2015. The prize was awarded for the ergonomic assistance system for the assembly area. Optimum GmbH was responsible for the image processing software, the IFL Institute for 3D gesture recognition and Bedrunka Gerätebau GmbH for the area of equipment construction.
Optimum datamanagement solutions GmbH has been awarded the "Innovative through Research" seal of quality for the first time by the Stifterverband für die deutsche Wissenschaft e.V.. The seal is awarded to companies that are committed to and invest in Germany's future viability through special achievements in research and development (R&D).
In the "Quality Management" category, the Smart Klaus took 2nd place for the IT Innovation Award.
Using Intelligent Image Processing (the combination of database management and camera technology), the system identifies, checks, measures, counts and inspects articles from a wide range of industries.
At the Medical Technology 2016 conference, the Smart Klaus took second place in the senetics award in the category "Best supplier or service provider in the healthcare sector".
In the medical industry it is particularly important that all articles are manufactured 100% correctly, so the role of the Smart Klaus is particularly important here.
On 01.03.2016, the Sparkasse Schwarzwald-Baar awarded the joint project "Arbeitsplatz 4.0" of Optimum GmbH, Bedrunka Gerätebau GmbH and the IFL Institute for Conveying Technology and Logistics Systems of KIT Karlsruhe the first place of the Sparkasse Innovation Prize as promotion of innovative performance.
