How does Smart Klaus® Inspect differ from conventional AOI systems?

The Smart Klaus® Inspect has been specially developed for final inspection and inspects not only electronic assemblies, but all types of products for a wide range of characteristics such as shape, color, labeling and completeness. In contrast to conventional AOI systems, it works with a single high-resolution camera, is easy to operate without programming knowledge and enables flexible product changes without hardware adjustments thanks to intelligent position correction.

The inspection speed depends on the number of inspection features. Typical inspections with 20-50 features require only 1-3 seconds. Even complex inspection procedures with hundreds of inspection items are processed within a few seconds.

Yes, the Smart Klaus® Inspect can be integrated into production lines both as a standalone system and inline. The test specimens can be fed manually or via conveyor technology. The system has interfaces for communication with upstream and downstream stations.

Thanks to the large-area camera and the integrated position correction, no hardware adjustments are necessary when changing products. Changing the inspection procedure in the software is sufficient and only takes a few seconds. Special holders for different products are also not required.

Smart Klaus® Inspect automatically creates detailed inspection reports with all measured values, target/actual comparisons and recorded images.
