    How does SK Ident differ from conventional identification systems?

    Unlike conventional systems, SK Ident does not require barcodes, QR codes or RFID tags. The system identifies items purely visually based on their shape, color and other optical features - even if they look very similar or have no label.

    SK Ident is specially optimized for differentiating between similar components. The system recognizes even the subtlest differences that are barely perceptible to the human eye. During set-up, specific identification features are defined for each item, which enable unique identification.

    Yes, the system can be seamlessly linked to your existing master data. After identifying an item, SK Ident displays the relevant information from your database - from the item number and storage location to specific properties or installation instructions.

    Teaching in new items is user-friendly and requires no programming knowledge. An article is placed under the camera, photographed and the characteristic features are marked. This process only takes a few minutes per item.
