Smart Klaus® in productive use

MANN+HUMMEL: Smart Klaus® replaces costly and high-maintenance sensor technology

As one of the world's leading filtration experts, MANN+HUMMEL not only focuses on excellent products - but also on sustainable production processes.

MANN+HUMMEL has sustainably optimized manual final assembly with the camera-based worker assistance system Smart Klaus®. The system guides employees step by step through the assembly process, automatically checking all safety and quality-relevant features and providing direct feedback in the event of deviations. Errors are detected before they can be passed on - this increases process quality and reduces the complaint rate.

Thanks to the visual instructions, different variants can be assembled without the need for retooling. The number of fixtures required has been greatly reduced, storage space saved and changeover times minimized.

In addition, simple, digital processes take the strain off people - for more relaxed, concentrated work.
